Soccer Referees Needed - New Referee Clinic Announced

Interested in becoming a USSF Soccer Referee? 

Attend a referee clinic hosted by The Washington State Soccer Referee Committee:

The Tri-Cities Soccer Referee Association (TCSRA) will be hosting a clinic at the TCYSA Pasco Soccer Complex on Saturday, August 17, 2019. THIS IS AN ALL FIELD SESSION.

To register  GO TO the following site and follow the instructions.

For the TCYSA Clinic, you will need to search for the New Referee Clinic in the 6S-SE area of the state.

Once you register, you will need to pay your registration fee on-line. 

After paying, a link to on-line training modules will appear next to your name.  

The on-line modules will take approximately 2 – 3 hours to complete; however, you may save your progress and complete them at your own pace.

Key Cutoff Dates:

You MUST be registered, including fee payment, by no later than 8 PM on Wednesday, August 14th.

You MUST have the required on-line new referee training modules completed by 8 PM on Thursday, August 15th. 

These are firm cutoffs and cannot be extended.

Saturday's clinic will run from 8 AM to 1 PM, with short breaks and no lunch will be provided.

This clinic will provide certification for the remainder of this calendar year 2019, and through 2020.  Recertification will not be required until Badge Year 2021.

Training will include a review of the Laws of the Game (LOTG), and consists of all outdoor instruction on a field. 


The in-person portion of the certification consists of 5-hours of field practicum. If you are not able to physically participate, due to injury, you will need to take another class once you are released to participate.

What to bring:

1. Bring paper and pencil for notes. Bring questions you may have from the online material.

2. Bring snacks and any drinks you may want; remember this will be all outdoors in summer weather. There will not be a formal meal break. Instead we will be taking 10-15 minute breaks that will allow time for snacks and beverage.

3. Dress to be active on the field. Bring shoes appropriate for light work on the soccer field (cleats are not required, but recommended depending on the weather). Dress for the weather.

4. Not required, but feel free to bring any referee equipment you may have - flags, wallet w/cards, etc.

5. A referee whistle will be provided.
